The running of any church is a costly business and St Stephen’s is no exception.  In addition to the basic costs incurred in looking after the church and halls we have to find a Parish Quota which is paid to the Diocese of Chichester and goes towards the costs of paying clergy and maintaining their houses, grants and administration.

As Christians we have a responsibility to give back to God some of what he has given us.  How much we give must be a matter of personal conscience.

There are various methods by which we can give:  money in the collecting bags at services, a weekly envelope scheme or a Standing Order through the bank.

Whichever you choose is up to you ~ rest assured we are grateful for the money, which will be put to good use.  However, should you be a tax payer then we would ask you to consider giving by Gift Aid.  This is particularly beneficial to the church as tax can be reclaimed at the current rate.  All you have to do is sign a form!

Further details of the various schemes can be obtained from those people listed below ~ all enquiries and arrangements are treated in the strictest confidence.
