Junior Choir

We have a flourishing Junior Choir at St Stephen’s, and here is a picture of some of the members with their medals.

All members are encouraged to enter the Royal School of Church Music ‘Voice for Life’ scheme, which involved a lot of hard work and a test of musical ability and also knowledge of the basics of the Christian faith and the Church’s year.

Light blue, dark blue and red ribbons are gained first, and then choir members are invited to study for green, then purple ribbons.

Green (Dean’s Chorister) and Purple (Bishop’s chorister) ribbons and medals are presented at a special service in Chichester Cathedral.

One of our choir members has the highest award of all – the St Cecilia Award, which involves a residential week away and singing and musical knowledge to a very high standard.

We are very proud of our Junior Choir!  If you would like to know more about joining please email david@drfrost.worldonline.co.uk.
