It is our aim at St Stephen’s to provide something for all ages and most preferences. In our worship we aim to balance the traditional and progressive; formal and informal ~ ALL in the earnest desire to glorify God.

Sundays

08.00 am Holy Communion (Prayer Book)
10.30 am Morning Service
06.00 pm Evening Service ~ This is held once a month, usually on the 3rd Sunday in the month.

The 10.30am service is our main Sunday act of worship, with a distinctive monthly pattern. On the 1st Sunday in the month, there is an All-Age service, lasting for about 50 minutes; on the 2nd and 4th Sundays there is a modern language service of Holy Communion, with Morning Prayer on the 4th Sunday. The 5th Sunday is at the vicar's discretion!
Our Seekers Club for children meets at 10.30am, leaving the adult congregation after the first hymn, apart from the 1st Sunday, and returning during the Offertory on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.

Coffee is served after all 10.30am services.

As from January 2001 St Stephen's is using 'Common Worship' (new Church of England worship material) at all services except 8.00am on Sundays and 10.00am on Wednesdays. For more information about Common Worship please visit www.cofe.anglican.org/commonworship
